Deisha has always had a passion for gardening, encouraged by her grandmother, who was a master gardener. Jace grew up learning to garden, build, raise animals, and a multitude of other handy skills. We eventually wanted to share these generational skills with our children.

Teaching our kids how to be self-reliant has been a huge goal for us as parents. There is such satisfaction in getting our hands dirty, caring for our animals, growing food to eat, and pretty flowers for our honey bees to enjoy.
